Christmas in the Guest Bedroom

Last week I shared my Christmas front porch and my living/dining/entryway. Today, after finishing all my moving and tweaking, I’m ready to share Christmas in the guest bedroom. I wasn’t able to decorate the kitchen this year, we just started the reno on it, so I thought it would be fun to add some Christmas in the guest bedroom.

It was so much fun decorating this year, even though we won’t be home on Christmas day to enjoy it, and, although it’s a challenge to decorate the long, small space of the living/dining/entryway, I’m learning more of what works and what doesn’t with each passing Christmas (this is our 2nd Christmas in this house).

Now that all the decorating, shopping and wrapping are done, we can concentrate on our trip and maybe a batch or two of cookies, which will make Mr. C² happy.

Let’s talk shopping. Are you an early bird, or do you wait until a week or two to even start? How about wrapping your gifts…is it something you love to do? I have to confess that it’s the one task that I have never enjoyed. The hubs is the gift wrapper in our house, since I do the shopping. Hey, it’s all about delegating. Right?

Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. I would love a guest bedroom and really love the idea of making it look as beautiful as this – maybe one day!
When it comes to wrapping I pin a LOT of beautiful ideas, manage one or two then run out of time- every year the same!

    1. Thank you Julie for the lovely comment.

Isn’t Pinterest great for ideas, even gift wrapping ideas? I think I’d rather pin than wrap any day. 😉

  6. Wrapping gifts is my task, in our house, but I’m awful at it! Everything is covered, sure, but the folds are messy and not even, and there’s too much tape, and ugh, it’s a disaster. It is fun, however, to see everyone struggle to open everything. Gives me a good giggle, ha!

    1. So funny! That sounds like something my husband would do. He’s actually been know to wrap something a couple of times to confuse people. Wrapping once is difficult for me, I wouldn’t do it twice. 😉 Thanks for the laugh.

  7. Your small Christmas tree melts my heart- cute! 🙂

    1. Thanks Mila. I put one in each of the guest bedrooms for my daughters who usually come home for the holidays. They don’t always get to have a tree where they live so I want them to have their own. 🙂
