Friday Favorites

Happy Friday to you! I hope you are surviving the snow and cold temps it seems most of us are having. It got bitterly cold in Illinois this week and we got our first real significant snowfall. I’m actually in Denver today to take care of my oldest, who had some foot surgery on Thursday, so I did escape the bitter cold for a few days at least.

Let’s start up Friday Favorites again in this new year and try to forget the cold for a bit.

Have you seen the HGTV dream home yet? Some really great ideas in this open kitchen.

Friday Favorites | chatfieldcourt.comBeautiful master bedroom.

Friday Favorites | chatfieldcourt.comI have kitchens on the brain right now and I’m loving the unpainted windows and the large area to put plants in this one.

Friday Favorites | chatfieldcourt.comLoving the blues with the wood tones in this bedroom.

Friday Favorites | chatfieldcourt.comWallpaper seems to be gaining in popularity lately. What say you, are you one for wallpaper? It’s so pretty but I get bored too quickly.

Friday Favorites | chatfieldcourt.comGuess this was the kitchen and bedroom edition. 😉 I hope you have a great weekend… stay warm!

Kristi, I am with you. The wall paper looks beautiful but I would get bored with it and I hate stripping wall paper. I love the vanity in the last bedroom picture, except the bedspread, too foo, foo for me. LOL

Yes Deb, I agree…it is a little to “foo foo” for me too. I’m a simple kind of gal.

So glad you stopped in and hope you are having a great weekend.

Those kitchen windows! I think I could manage to do the dishes every day with a set up like that, ha!
Hope all goes well with your daughter!

I love a window above the sink and those wood frame ones are killer. Both kitchens you posted are really nice, although I’d need some colour on the walls in the first one. Too much white for me. I get enough of the white stuff during the winter.
I notice that both kitchens have painted wood ceilings. Hmmm, is this a teaser of what’s to come in your own kitchen?
I’m on a wallpaper kick right now but in a small dose. Our entry is tiny (3′ x3′) and I plan on installing beadboard on the lower part of the wall and want something interesting above it. Definitely thinking about wallpaper for that.
I’m not a fru fru kinda girl either, but I do like the bedding in the last picture. I think it’s the pops of red calling out to me. 🙂

Hope your daughter’s recovery is going well and you don’t arrive home to a plywood countertop! 🙂

LOL..I know you like your color Shirlee. I’ve never been one for a lot of white but I’ve been gravitating toward it more lately.

Love the painted wood ceilings. I know what I want in my kitchen but we’re still working it out. Stay tuned. 😉

Oooh, your wallpaper idea in your entry sounds great. I agree, small doses is good.

My daughter is doing well and I have just returned home after a very long week (thankfully the Mr. took pity on me and did not put in a plywood counter). Thanks so much for the well wishes Shirlee and for stopping in.
