Happy Friday Favorites!
I think Spring has come to Illinois, at least for this week, and it’s so nice to take Finn for a walk and not have 14 layers on. Soon the snow will be completely gone and the grass will turn green. Can’t wait.
We didn’t get to share a Friday Favorites post last week so let’s get back to it.
Love this awesome ceiling in this family room, and who could miss that beautiful light.
I’m loving this kitchen. It has two islands and more than enough room for several chefs to be cooking at the same time. Just to have a kitchen that large, wow. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. 😉
I’ve looked at this guest cottage many times. Love its simplicity and the decorative touches throughout.
So many gorgeous things here…the wide plank floors, the archways and ceiling details.
Such a pretty home office.
Since we’re doing a kitchen remodel, I’ve looked at a ton of kitchen pictures, and was just wondering what your thoughts on kitchen size were. Would you rather have a big kitchen or small? Is it more important to have a good layout or a bigger size?
Thank goodness it’s the last Friday of February. I’m not a huge fan of March but we are getting closer to spring so I’m happy to see it, and the arrival of Shamrock Shakes at McDonald’s. I know, I know…not good for you but they aren’t around for long and they are oh-so-good.
Ok, enough about my diet. 😉 Let’s continue on with this week’s Friday Favorites.
Love the pretty turquoise paint in this master bedroom.
This beautiful space happens to be a deli in London. That wall, those pendants, the shelves…rustic loveliness.
So many great thing about this…the gold bar cart, the graphic wall paper, black floor, simple white curtain panels.
Pretty white bathroom. Adding some color with towels and accessories would also look great.
Gorgeous barn wood stairs. Enough said.
This may be my weekend project (perhaps with some mini chocolate chips). 😉
We have a sick household right now so sadly, not much was done in the kitchen this week and I’m not sure if anything will happen there this weekend (besides some banana bread bakin’). What do you look forward to this time of year to get you through the last of winter?
Thank you so much for stopping in today and I hope your weekend is great.
Have you seen my posts from this week? All things kitchen reno at Chatfield Court right now.
Soffits Be Gone
White Paint Colors…Kitchen Cabinets
I hope you are keeping warm on this frigid Friday. We woke up to -9 and -6 yesterday and today (and that’s without the wind chill)…ugh, I am so ready for Spring. It’s supposed to get a bit warmer here, 30 on Saturday, but we will be inside working on the kitchen. It’s been slow going since before we went on vacation but I’m hoping the Mr. will be motivated enough to get the 2nd soffit removed. If you follow me on Instagram, you can see what how we progress. Let’s get to this week’s Friday Favorites.
Color is great but sometimes a room calls for a soothing color palette like this pretty living room corner.
How about some colorful pillows and a mirror ball to liven up the neutral pieces in this living room.
I have always been a huge fan of green and turquoise and I love the way they’re used to really brighten up this colorful kitchen.
I do enjoy reading how people in other countries live in their homes. This short article from Apartment Therapy talks about British design style. So interesting.
I have been dreaming of a new front door. One that will let some light into our very dark living room. Love everything about this one.
Here is a cute and easy DIY, an enamel mug organizer. Great idea and it could be used in almost any room.
I must be looking for more color in my life because I picked two very colorful Favorites. What are your thoughts on using multiple bold colors in a room? Are you a fan of this look?
As always, I so appreciate you spending a bit of time with me. 🙂 I hope you have a great weekend. Stay warm!
Hey, hey, hey and happy Friday to you. I’m still trying to recover from vacation and the 19 inches of snow we came home to. I’m hoping I feel a little more motivated next week because I have a ripped up kitchen that needs a lot of work. My plan is to start painting the cabinets so here’s hoping…I’m also working on a post from our cruise, if you’re not sick of seeing my travel pics. 😉 I’m done for a long while so I promise this is it.
I don’t know about you but I’m really ready for some design inspiration and this week’s Friday Favorites (and a little cold weather skin relief).
What a great mudroom, with the wood walls and natural wood ceiling. The inner organizer in me would love a space like this.
I need all the storage space I can get in our 1 very small bathroom but this bathroom sink and glass tiles are kinda awesome, and they even have “K” towels. 😉
I’ve been looking at these 3 tier servers for a while but I just don’t have the space for one. Love this though.
There’s something about a painted brick wall. Maybe the texture, maybe the imperfection? The shelves are pretty great too.
I love, love this moisturizing cream. It’s thicker and creamier than regular lotion so I only use it in the winter to moisturize my dry skin without being greasy. Love 🙂
What do you do to chase the winter/back-home-from-travel blues?
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.
Happy Friday favorites my friends! I hope your week was a good one. I don’t know about you but I’m looking to beat those winter-time blues. What better way to do it than to look at lots of home goodies.
I would love to add a barn door just like this one in my house. Since we don’t have a good place to put one though, it will have to go on my dream list.
Gorgeous bathroom vanities. I especially love the hardware and the contrast of the warm wood. That white subway tile is the perfect touch in this beautiful space.
Have you ever used washi tape? This idea is so clever yet it seems so easy! Don’t be surprised if it shows up on the blog at some point.
A Girl and a Glue Gun
There’s nothing better than a cozy living room on a cold winter’s night. How do you like to cozy up your own space, especially during the winter months?
This is probably one of my favorite vignettes. I just love the patina of the old lantern and the use of greenery.
Min Lilli Veranda
It’s another weekend we’ll be spending on our kitchen remodel. We’ve only been at it a few weeks and we’re already seeing great progress.
Have a great weekend!
Happy day…it’s Friday! I hope you had a good week. I’m still trying to play catch up after going to Denver for a week and now we are leaving for a long-awaited cruise on Saturday, so I’ve been trying to get ready for that too. We started going on cruises after I had all of my back surgeries. It’s a great way to see different places and I can do as much or as little as I want, depending on how I feel. My husband is a fan because of the food and the fact that he doesn’t have to drive anywhere. A lot of people think that cruises are only for senior citizens but that’s so not true. There are people from all over the world and from all different age groups. It’s really a great way to travel.
OK…I’ve played travel agent long enough 😉 Time to get inspired by this week’s Friday Favorites.
What a beautiful entryway. Loving the curved doors and the wood floors.
Have you seen the results of Kelly’s beautiful makeover in her small closet?
I’m not a collector at all but this collection of ironstone and wood tones is so pretty.
These jar labels are a great way to have a good-looking and organized pantry.
It may be small but look at the exposed brick wall and the floor. Gorgeous!
Have you ever been on a cruise before? What is your favorite way to vacation?
We will be on the ship from Sunday to Sunday and I will have no phone or internet (gasp!). I have posts scheduled and I hope you continue to comment. I love reading them all and will answer each one when I return. Have a fabulous weekend and week!
